Police have renewed their appeal for information after a gunman with an air riffle is still at large in Dartmouth.
Builder Chris Moseley says he has now been fired at five times while working at The Pottery in Warfleet, Dartmouth. Each time expensive windows have been smashed by somebody firing an air rifle.
Sgt Iain Simons said: ‘We are looking for somebody local. It’s all a bit bewildering but we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen somebody with an air rifle while walking in the woods or at the creek or the castle.’
In a report to Dartmouth Town Council on Monday, Sgt Simons said 20 crimes were reported to police last month.
They included the discovery of cannabis growing on scrub land near Blackawton, found to have a street value of between £7,000 and £20,000, the theft of a ring from a sports bag at the leisure centre, and juveniles fighting at a skate park.
More unusual offences centred around a complaint that two offensive words had been carved in a Halloween pumpkin and a blackmail claim, which is still under investigation.
