The Salcombe Dairy Ice-cream hut on the Quay was broken into overnight from Friday to Saturday, while an attempt was made to break into Cafe Decks.

The break in was reported to police on Saturday morning, June 10, and police say that the till was stolen. Marika Byrne, owner of Cafe Decks in the Recreation Ground, Kingsbridge, also reported an attempted break in during the same period.

The ice-cream hut break in is being investigated by PC Steve Mutton, and the attempted break in at Cafe Decks by PCSO Ash Hawkes.
