The police are appealing following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.

Officers attended the scene where a Silver Smart car was reported to have been in a collision with an eight-year-old boy on a bike.

The police were called to Townstal Road on Monday, September 17 at around 3.30pm.

After the police assessed the situation, the boy was taken to Torbay Hospital by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.

The log number for the incident is 507 17/9 and the police are asking for anyone with information to come forwards via [email protected] or call 101.In light of new information from the police we are able to confirm the boy is eight and not ten-years-old.
