BLEACH was poured over the play equipment in Duncombe Park, Kingsbridge last Friday.

The police were notified and the information was passed to South Hams Council who attended and cleaned the equipment.

Sgt David Green, neighbourhood team leader said: ‘Although no damage was done to the play equipment, the bleach incident is being treated by us as attempted criminal damage.

‘PC Jane Gerrard is investigating this and is following it up with the children responsible.

‘Fortunately nobody was injured, otherwise police involvement would be much more serious.’
