May I pass on my congratulations to the Kingsbridge Show team? We Kingsbridge in Bloomers were a very small part of the wonderful day planned and delivered for ­hundreds of local people and traders last Saturday.

I thought the exhibitions, ­displays, entertainments and the variety of things to see and do were outstanding.

The ‘avenues’ were thronged with hundreds of folk celebrating the day together.

I know the team begins to plan for next year as soon

as the champagne glasses are dry, but they will have a real challenge to better this year’s triumph.

Obviously, the whole town wishes them well.
