The largest surf shop in South Devon is supporting a young scout who has been chosen to represent the county in America.

Triocean Surf are supporting Will Keetley, a Kingsbridge Scout and Year 8 Kingsbridge Community College student, to raise funds for him to attend the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia that he has been chosen to attend in the summer of 2019.

4,300 Scouts have been chosen from the UK to go on this life-changing trip in 18 months time where they will join fellow scouts from over 150 countries.

After celebrating his selection, Will is now in the process of raising £4,100 to make his attendance possible. Part of the money he raises will go towards enabling Scouts from less well-off countries to also attend.

During the programme, the Scouts will have great opportunities for personal development including cultural understanding, leadership, service, adventure and international friendship.

Triocean Surf are providing equipment, tuition and safety boat cover for two company evening paddle events for local businesses.

The fun ‘Paddle, Pint and Pizza’ evening is available on five dates in May and June and includes meeting on the slipway in Kingsbridge, next to the Leisure Centre, at 5.30pm, spending one to two hours paddling the estuary on a choice of paddleboards and kayaks, finish the paddling session at The Crabshell where a selection of pizzas will be provided and a pint per person is included in the cost.

No previous experience or equipment is required. Tricocean will kindly supply all equipment, wetsuits, tuition and a safety boat. The cost of the session is £35 per person for all of the above and all proceeds will go towards Will Keetley’s World Scout Jamboree Fund.
