A woman has lost her late mother’s ring on Sunday while out and about in the Kingsbridge area.

Maggie rang to tell us that her mother’s ring fell off her finger at some point on Sunday. "I put it on at home in Aveton Gifford, at lunchtime, before going to South Milton and walking to Thurlestone, then we went back to South Milton, had lunch at the Beachhouse, before walking towards Hope Cove, and back, before going into Kingsbridge, to the petrol station and Tesco.

"I only noticed when I got home and was doing the washing up."

Maggie said her mother’s ring had been in a safe for years and she had recently bought it from her sister, so losing it has been "devastating".

She describes it as a white gold ring with a solitaire diamond and small diamonds or ’chips’ around it.

Maggie has offered a "generous reward" for its safe return.
