Regarding the A379 at Slapton Line, is it worth repairing, after it sustained significant damage yet again?

I understand the issues as I have lived in the local area all of my life.

But this is a time when in current political and economic situation and all big money goes to London.

It is going to be exceptionally expensive to repair in such a way to avoid it being damaged again. It is impossible, so will never happen without destroying the Ley system itself.

Is it fair to spend a huge amouth on the road for few when the Dawlish rail line needs to move inland?

With all restrictions on funding for NHS and home care services etc, it is the wisest choice?
