WITH the South Devon Premier League winners trophy waiting to be presented after the game, Ilsington Villa turned on a brilliant display for their final home game of the season: a 4-0 win over Beesands Rovers.

For 25 minutes it was a very even affair with Beesands almost taking the lead when Alfie Prowse saw the home ‘keeper off his line only to rattle the crossbar from 35 yards.

Ilsington went straight down the other end to open the scoring. They quickly went on to add two more but Beesands held out despite having a player sin-binned.

Ilsington added their fourth five minutes into the second half and were to later hit a post but, despite their domination of possession, the Beesands ‘keeper rarely had a save to make.

Beesands’ matchday sponsor was J & T Electrical.

This Saturday, Beesands welcome third-placed Kingsteignton to Loddiswell Playing Fields, a 2.30pm kick-off.
